Strengthen Project Construction and Make Every Effort to Advance the Major Fujian-Ningxia Cooperation Project

To fully promote the high-quality construction of the Minning (Fujian-Ningxia) Cooperation - Hanas Putian LNG Receiving Terminal project, from April 25 to 28, Hanas Group Chairman Ma Fuqiang led a delegation to Shanghai, Wuhan, and Guangzhou. They held in-depth discussions with leaders from the Second, Third, and Fourth Navigation Engineering Institutes; the Second and Fourth Navigation Engineering Bureaus of China Communications Construction Company (CCCC); and the Guangzhou Railway Bureau regarding high-level design, high-standard construction, and high-priority advancement of the project.

During the preliminary stages of the Hanas Putian project, including site selection, feasibility studies, and preliminary design, the various engineering bureaus and institutes actively participated and provided comprehensive professional support with significant results. This fully demonstrates the substantial strength and sense of responsibility of central enterprises under the new development paradigm, setting an example in implementing major national strategic deployments and promoting high-quality economic and social development.The Putian project received approval from the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) in December 2021 and is scheduled to commence full construction in May this year, according to the construction plan.The bureaus and institutes expressed that the Hanas Putian project is a new player in the development of major natural gas storage facilities and domestic LNG receiving terminals in Fujian and Ningxia.As central enterprises, they will certainly fulfill their social responsibilities, enhance communication and coordination with relevant project units, continue to strengthen cooperation, and ensure the smooth implementation of this key Fujian-Ningxia cooperation project.

Ma Fuqiang emphasized that he hopes to take this on-site exchange and discussion as an opportunity to continuously promote deep integration among the various design and construction units. He advocated for applying more digital innovation technologies, such as BIM forward design, digital delivery, virtual construction, smart construction sites, and intelligent operation and maintenance, to the project construction, aiming to create a century-long, high-quality project. This will implement the national energy security strategy with higher standards, effectively enhance the capacity to guarantee green energy supply, and contribute to the continuous deepening of Fujian-Ningxia cooperation with outstanding results.
