The project was signed at the 18th Joint Meeting on Fujian-Ningxia Mutual Learning, Mutual Assistance and Counterpart Poverty Alleviation Cooperation

On December 2, 2014, the 18th Joint Meeting on Fujian-Ningxia Mutual Learning, Mutual Assistance and Counterpart Poverty Alleviation Cooperation was held in Fuzhou. You Quan, Secretary of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, and Li Jianhua, Secretary of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Regional Party Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Regional People's Congress, attended and addressed the meeting.

At the project signing ceremony during the joint meeting, Hanas Group signed the Putian LNG project investment agreement with Putian City, Fujian Province. This project is the first major project in Fujian invested by Ningxia and a landmark project marking the shift of Fujian-Ningxia cooperation from one-way investment to two-way mutual assistance. The successful signing of this agreement will expand industrial cooperation between the two provinces, and promote, support, and guide enterprises from both provinces to carry out industrial cooperation in resource and energy development, thereby achieving new accomplishments in Fujian-Ningxia counterpart cooperation.

The Fujian-Ningxia Counterpart Cooperation is an important strategic decision personally planned and promoted by General Secretary Xi Jinping, bearing his solemn instructions. General Secretary Xi Jinping has visited Ningxia four times, attended the Fujian-Ningxia Counterpart Poverty Alleviation Cooperation Joint Meetings five times, and delivered important speeches at three of these meetings. He personally conducted research, made scientific plans, and exerted full efforts to advance this initiative, devoting immense wisdom and painstaking efforts, thus creating the "Fujian-Ningxia Model" for east-west counterpart poverty alleviation cooperation.
