Ningxia leaders inspect Putian LNG project

On September 9, 2020, Lai Jiao, vice chairman of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, came to Putian, Fujian Province to investigate the Hanas Putian LNG project, got a detailed understanding of the project progress, and was full of expectations for the implementation of the project.

Lai Jiao and his party visited the construction headquarters of Hanas LNG terminal project in Dongwu port area of Meizhou Bay and listened to the work report of Wang Shaobo, vice president of the group, on the progress of the project and planning and design.

Wang Shaobo first extended a warm welcome to Lai Jiao and his delegation and thanked the autonomous region for its support and continuous attention to the group and Putian LNG project. He said that the Group specializes in clean energy and new energy industries, with an all-round layout to help energy transformation, and has basically completed the layout of the full value industrial chain of natural gas. Putian LNG is a key project for Hanas to build a global industrial chain of natural gas. It has always been highly valued by the party committees and governments at all levels in Fujian and Ningxia. Hanas will design, build and operate the project well, and make due contributions to the social and economic development of Fujian and Ningxia.

Lai Jiao highly appreciated the group's commitment to developing green, clean, safe and reliable clean energy, leading society to change its dependence on non clean energy, and affirmed Hanas's achievements and contributions in the field of clean energy. He pointed out that as a major landmark project of Fujian & Ningxia counterpart poverty alleviation cooperation and the first major energy project invested and constructed by Ningxia in Fujian, Hanas Putian LNG project is not only a guarantee for natural gas supply in Fujian and surrounding areas, but also a major gas storage facility for the construction of natural gas production, supply, storage and marketing system in Ningxia. It is a good project. He stressed that the group should make solid preparations for the commencement of the project in accordance with the relevant requirements of Fujian Province and Putian City. At the same time, he hoped that Putian City would accelerate the progress of project approval and urge the construction to start as soon as possible.
